Black Pepper Ale
Our new Black Pepper Ale was designed with the sole intention of making a few Craigs smile. This mildly spicy amber ale features 3lbs of crushed black peppercorns, enough to be present but not so much that it overpowers the beer. It's rounded out with a pleasantly malty base that uses 11 different malts alongside a touch of Mosaic hops. We've had a few Quebec beers recently that featured this ingredient and they were très bien, so we thought we'd give it a go.
Note: If you are a Craig who doesn't like pepper we are deeply sorry; hopefully you have clean air ducts.
Brewed on our 3-barrel pilot system, each batch will yield around 300 litres, which means they will only be around for a tiny amount of time. No pressure...
